“Let’s Change” project ultimately aims to empower stakeholders in Aqaba - including youth and women- to create change in the environmental issues. This project has succeeded to mobilize youth, through establishing a coalition to take part in the development planning at national and sub‐national levels and advocate for rights in healthy marine environment. Also, it bridge the gap between youth and policy makers and create a voice that would be seriously considered by decision makers.
The project was performed on a three years base, where the first phase included a capacity building plan for project stakeholders on advocacy and right- based approach, followed by identifying two issues which are the garbage and the rights of handicaps and elderly to access the beach issues. The second phase involved working in-close with decision makers and parliament members to adopt best scenarios to solve the two issues, and several campaigns were performed. The third phase aimed to provide solutions to the decision makers represented by the implementation of the international Blue Flag certification.
